SNOWDON WALK 25th May 2014

Bromley Foundation - Snowdon Event

On the 25th May 2014, Founders of the Bromley Foundation organised thier second climb up Mount Snowdon, joined by 32 enthusiastic participants to create awareness and raise funds for the cause. The event raised well in excess of £2,000 with donations still coming in online.

The 7-mile round trip, was gruelling at times but all 32 walkers managed to reach the summit with enough time to enjoy a coffee and a sandwich at the top! Walkers met on the coach which picked up via three points, Chorley, Preston and Liverpool at 5am, returning home around 8pm the same evening.

The weather held out for the majority of the climb allowing participants to capture some of the amazing pictures you see on here. If you are interested in taking part in our next climb, please register your interest by emailing us on info@bromleyfoundation.org and requesting a fundraising pack. Alternatively, please have a look at our up and coming events and register your interest online.

We all have our reasons why we do suchevents. Raising money for worthwhile causes some very close to home. For me Iwas totally unaware of the organisation prior to this event but always like togive and help being a spiritual person pagan and always wanting the best for myfellow man so of course I was up for it.

Snowdon Walk: Karen's Story

There are times when we doubt your own ability to achieve a task or goal we set ourselves. New Year resolutions don't last beyond January and the idea of getting fit this year had briefly paled into insignificance as I curled up by the fire with my new found popping candy chocolate bar! So on 2nd February, when the invitation popped to me on Facebook from my dear friend Sarah to climb Mount Snowdon for The Bromley Foundation, it was a straightforward YES! Had I climbed a mountain before? ... No! But this would raise money for a very worthy cause, and up might get fit, so it was a real no brainer.
